Melinda Parker

Melinda worked for Hanson & Anderson Law Firm in the early 80’s as a legal secretary, then moved to Anderson, SC, to start her career as a Circuit Court Reporter in the Tenth Judicial Circuit for the Honorable Walter Cox. In 1986, Melinda moved to Atlanta, Georgia and during the 30 years she was there, she worked for West Court Reporting, Mercury Marine and the Gwinnett County Public School System. In 2016, Melinda moved back to her hometown of Lexington, SC to take care of her 96-year-old grandmother and after she passed in 2019, she started working again for Hanson Law Firm. Melinda manages the firm’s earnest money escrow account, which includes balancing the account every month and making sure our client’s money is credited to the right property. She processes all incoming and outgoing monetary wires, checks for suspicious information or activity, inputs and records wire transfer data. She analyzes and reconciles transactions made in different accounts to ensure proper auditing. Melinda has twin girls, both live in the Atlanta area; and a son, daughter-in-law, grandson and granddaughter in the Augusta area.
